Will my gift to Lancaster Bible College and the Charles Frey Academic Center be tax deductible?

Yes. Lancaster Bible College is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. Gifts made to the college are tax exempt to the fullest extent of the law. We suggest that you contact your financial advisor for the most “tax-wise” way to make your gift.

How will the Charles Frey Academic Center enrich the learning and teaching experiences for students and teachers?

The needs of preparing men and women for impacting the world are changing, and LBC has been changing to meet those needs on campus and online while staying on mission. The Charles Frey Academic Center will launch our students’ successes from the classroom into the Church and society through technology integration, collaborative engagement, and the use of the “flipped classroom” learning model. This approach delivers course material, including web content and short online video lectures prior to the class meeting; with in-class time focused on exercises, projects, and discussion.

Will Lancaster Bible College offer any special gift “naming” opportunities in this Charles Frey Academic Center Capital Campaign?

Yes. This fundraising campaign will include numerous, attractive gift “naming” opportunities in the Charles Frey Academic Center. Any gift may be made “In Honor of” or “In Memory of” and all donors will be thanked in a special post-campaign Honor Roll of Donors publication at the conclusion of the effort. Permanent gift naming opportunities on rooms and spaces in the Charles Frey Academic Center will start at $25,000 (payable over five years, if desired) and go all the way up to $1 million. A list of named gift opportunities is available at the College Advancement Office and online at lbcgive.com. Gifts of all sizes are needed in this campaign and all will be gratefully received! Remember: You may make a gift that combines a current gift payable over five years with a qualifying planned gift (Example: a gift through your will, life insurance or a gift annuity) to secure a naming opportunity. Please contact the Advancement Office for details.

Over how many years may I pay my pledge?

Lancaster Bible College is offering pledge payments for a period of one to five years, if requested. Because of the tremendous importance of annual giving, the college asks that campaign gifts be considered “over and above” what you ordinarily give to the college on an annual basis. Donors wishing to make a pledged gift areasked to complete the enclosed Gift Form.

What role will planned (estate) gifts play in the campaign?

In some cases, new or increased planned (estate) gifts will be an option for donors in this capital campaign. Planned Gifts include new/increased annuities, trusts, bequests, charitable IRA rollovers and other estate planning vehicles that are pledged by donors specifically for the Charles Frey Academic Center project. Donors will be asked to sign a campaign gift form and provide copies of the pertinent section of their will along with the form. Many donors choose to make a combination of outright and planned (estate) gifts to maximize their giving.

How much did the Charles Frey Academic Center cost to build and furnish, and how will the college pay for it?

The total cost was $12.9 million. Thanks to a major leadership gift from Charles Frey, Lancaster Bible College is off to a terrific start to its $12.9 million fund raising campaign. When realized, the campaign will cover all costs associated with construction of the Center.
