Pastors for Uganda

For many years the Gospel has been spread throughout the continent of Africa. Though many have been reached, few are trained in biblical truth.

  • 90% of African Pastors have little to no training.
  • 90% of the 90% will never have a chance to receive any kind of biblical training.

These numbers are shocking. Unfortunately, many African pastors interpret the Bible and teach false theology based on tradition, the health and wealth gospel, or visions and dreams. You can help change those numbers by sponsoring a pastor. Since 2015, Lancaster Bible College | Capital Seminary & Graduate School works with the Pastor Discipleship Network in Uganda to teach biblical truth to pastors. Now God's truth is spreading throughout Uganda.

About Pastors Discipleship Network

Pastors Discipleship Network originated from a passion for biblical education and the belief that God's truth changes lives. Founder Richmond Wandera, a graduate Compassion child, showed a thirst for learning throughout his childhood. After completing his early education, he was accepted into Compassion's Leadership Development Program and attended college.

Serving as the pastor of his childhood church, Richmond noticed how he and his fellow pastors struggled in ministry due to a lack of biblical training. Richmond set a goal to learn more about the Bible and attended Moody Graduate School. Studying God's Word, Richmond shared his education with his fellow pastors in Uganda. His passion for discipleship grew, sparking a dream to change the lives of pastors in his community. After graduation, he returned to Uganda and began the Pastors Discipleship Network.

Since Richmond’s dream started, over 3,000 pastors have been trained in East Africa.

The Goal

Impact by 2020:

  • 11,500 pastors equipped
  • 1,150,000 believers worshipping in truth under the leadership of a trained pastor
